Sing • Play • Learn with Mrs. Mish ☀️
Hi, I'm Mrs. Mish!
I turn big ideas into bite‑size fun. In my program, you’ll find sing‑alongs, crafts, and quick lessons that build confidence in reading, early numeracy, and social-emotional skills created by an experienced kindergarten teacher.

Readiness Tips
Simple, warm ways to build independence and confidence.
Sound Hunt
Pick a sound (like /s/) and find three items that start with that sound.
Snack Sort
Sort snacks by color, shape, or size. Then, count each group.
Pinch & Paste
Tear colorful construction paper into pieces of confetti. Then, glue the confetti inside a shape to make a mosaic.
Morning (or Evening!) Routine
Use a picture checklist (clothing, breakfast, toothbrush) to make the morning routine seemless.
Good Morning!
Have a regular bedtime and wake up time...even on weekends! Regular sleep and meal times will help make for a smoother transition to a full day of school.
Hygiene Helper
Practice self-care habits at home. Practice all aspects of the potty routine, sneezing/coughing into the elbow, blowing noses, and washing hands afterward. EVERY TIME.
I Can Do It!
Practice opening snack bags, unwrapping sandwiches, opening milk cartons, and putting straws into juice pouches. When your kid knows he or she is capable, you will both feel ready for the first day of school.
Buddy Breaths
Lay down on your back. Put a small stuffed animal on your belly, and take a deep breath in. Let it out slowly. Your deep breaths are giving your buddy a ride. Repeat.
Framework
My kindergarten learning videos are thoughtfully designed to build strong foundations in reading and math. The reading instruction uses an explicit, systematic phonics approach that helps children develop phonemic awareness as they learn to hear, identify, and manipulate sounds with confidence. Through structured literacy practices, research-based phonics instruction, word recognition, and intentional vocabulary development, learners build the foundational skills needed for future reading success.
In math, children explore big ideas in kid-friendly ways, building foundational number sense, early algebraic thinking, geometry, spatial awareness, and skills in measurement and data. Hands-on manipulatives bring concepts to life, making learning engaging, meaningful, and developmentally appropriate for young learners.
